On November 24-26, 2022, Almaty will host the X International Scientific and Practical Conference "Current Issues of the Uranium Industry", dedicated to the 25th anniversary of NAC Kazatomprom JSC and the 20th anniversary of the Institute of High Technologies LLP (a subsidiary of Kazatomprom).
This year, more than 200 representatives of well-known nuclear enterprises and companies, as well as scientists and specialists from around the world are planning to take part in the event.
The purpose of the conference is to provide the international scientific community, developers and manufacturers of advanced materials, machinery and equipment with a platform to discuss topical scientific and technological problems and their solutions in order to develop the nuclear enterprises in Kazakhstan and other countries.
Current issues of the nuclear industry will be considered in seven main sections of the upcoming conference:
Section 1. Geology, Geotechnology and Mining and Development Works
Section 2. Uranium mining and processing technology
Section 3. Technologies and current problems of the front-end nuclear fuel cycle - conversion, nuclear fuel production
Section 4. Resources and efficient technologies for production of rare, rare earth metals and high-tech products based on these metals
Section 5. Safe operation of nuclear enterprises and man-made waste management
Section 6. ESG, legal, macroeconomic and educational aspects of the nuclear industry
Section 7. Digitalization, automation and robotization in the nuclear industry
